Welcome to the 16th Conference of HEPA Europe

The Lithuanian Sports University is pleased to invite you to the 20th annual meeting and 16th conference of HEPA Europe, the European Network for the Promotion of Health-Enhancing Physical Activity, on 17-19 September 2025. The conference is jointly organised with WHO/Europe. The conference will be held in the beautiful green city of Kaunas, Lithuania.

The HEPA Europe 2025 conference will focus on “Health Enhancing Physical Activity: Taking Steps Towards Sustainability”. The emphasis of the conference is on sustainability that is grounded on a strong synergy between physical activity promotion and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), presenting unique opportunities to simultaneously address multiple population health priorities. The promotion of physical activity and sustainable development strategies require synergies in multisectoral and multicomponent areas, therefore, a systematic approach is needed to create effective strategies for increasing physical activity and achieving sustainable development goals.

We will have inspiring keynote presenters, symposia and parallel oral sessions, accompanied by social and networking events. Events will also include the annual meeting of HEPA Europe and parallel sessions of its working groups. We believe that the Conference will create multiple opportunities to contribute to the HEPA research, practice and policy.
